Solutions
Global industrial IoT provider Advantech has successfully deployed SEER Robotics' standardized robot solutions in its US factory.
Leveraging SEER Robotics' M4 Smart Logistics Management System and multiple rotating lifting robots, Advantech has established an efficient, precise, and flexible smart logistics solution in a space-constrained, highly dynamic warehouse environment.
Project Challenges
Deploying robots in Advantech’s US factory presented dual challenges of confined spaces and the demand for precision and efficiency:
1. 100+ high-density shelf storage with extremely narrow operating aisles, posing extremely high demands on robot positioning accuracy and maneuverability flexibility.
2. Human-robot mixed flow with numerous dynamic obstacles, making traditional robot scheduling solutions unable to ensure safe and efficient collaborative operations.
3. Traditional manual picking modes suffer from high labor intensity and low efficiency, with employees walking several kilometers daily and heavy lifting relying on manual collaboration, urgently requiring intelligent upgrading.
Solution Highlights
Addressing Advantech’s factory characteristics and core needs, SEER Robotics’ technical team delivered a highly adaptive solution, earning customer acclaim and setting a new benchmark for robot applications in narrow, high-density spaces.
【Precision & Flexibility: Conquering Complex Narrow Aisles】
1. More Flexible Follow-up Function: Advantech's deployed rotating-lifting robots feature a "vehicle rotates, cargo stays still" follow-up function, significantly reducing turning radius, greatly enhancing maneuverability and efficiency in narrow environments, and lowering space requirements.
2. More Precise QR Code-Assisted Positioning: Deploying QR codes at critical nodes enables high-precision secondary positioning in dynamic environments, ensuring robots operate accurately even in high-interference, mixed human-robot scenarios and guaranteeing operational accuracy.
[ Global Intelligence: Thriving in High-Dynamic Scenarios]
1. Upgraded R-MAPF Advanced Scheduling Algorithm: The M4 system upgraded to R-MAPF (Multi-Agent Path Finding) algorithm, with more stable traffic control strategies granting the system powerful, complex path planning and multi-robot real-time collaborative avoidance capabilities, ensuring efficient, safe logistics in dense, complex traffic control points.
2.Intelligent Slot Management Unlocks Complex Logic: Deep application of M4's slot management enables intelligent task dispatching and conflict avoidance, optimizing multi-robot task paths. Innovative queuing mechanisms at picking points, managed via real-time virtual slot status, allow the system to intelligently schedule robots to queue at waiting points. It enables multi-robot collaboration, instant automatic repositioning, and achieves continuous high-efficiency operations at dispatch points, maximizing picking resource utilization.
【Seamless Integration: Lowering System Barriers】
Through rich standard interfaces and M4 system's preset task templates, the solution significantly reduced integration difficulty and secondary development workload with Advantech's WMS system, enabling rapid deployment and significantly shortening project cycles.
Customer Benefits
SEER Robotics' solution delivered multi-dimensional, immediate benefits to Advantech's US factory:
1. Labor Cost Savings: Robots successfully replaced manual handling, optimized labor structure, and effectively reduced operational costs.
2. Drastic Reduction in Employee Labor Intensity: Employees no longer endured kilometers of daily fatigue from picking or heavy lifting, fundamentally improving work environments and experiences.
3. Leap in Factory Operational Efficiency: Combining precise robot handling, intelligent scheduling, and queuing mechanisms significantly improved order response speed, shelf turnover rates, and overall processing efficiency.
4. More Standardized & Transparent Management: Goods' locations became clearly visible through the system, achieving full-process digital management and traceability of in-warehouse logistics.
