SEER Robotics Founder Zhao Yue Receives the “Outstanding Contribution Award for Young Scientists” of the Shanghai Science and Technology Award

On July 2, the Shanghai Science and Technology Awards Ceremony was held. Zhao Yue, Founder and CEO of SEER Robotics, was honored with the “Outstanding Contribution Award for Young Scientists” of the 2025 Shanghai Science and Technology Award.

As one of the most prestigious honors recognizing young scientific and technological talent in Shanghai, the Outstanding Contribution Award for Young Scientists recognizes leading figures who have made remarkable contributions to scientific research and the commercialization of technological achievements.

As one of only 10 recipients of this year’s award, this honor represents not only high recognition of Zhao Yue’s long-term commitment to technological innovation and industrial advancement, but also strong affirmation of SEER Robotics’ efforts to drive industrial innovation through technology and lead the embodied intelligence sector.

For many years, Zhao Yue has focused on the most critical and challenging area of robotics—the robotic brain, or control systems. Committed to an independent R&D approach, he has led the team in developing the world’s first integrated embodied intelligence controller, as well as the world’s first fully self-developed Chinese intelligent robot controller to receive SGS TÜV SAAR functional safety certification, continuously breaking through technological bottlenecks in core robotics technologies.

Advancing Embodied Intelligence Through Real-World Robot Data

Today, embodied intelligence is on the verge of explosive growth. In the AI era where data is the key driver, embodied intelligence models also follow the Scaling Law: the players that can accumulate sufficient high-quality real-world data first will be the ones best positioned to unlock the benefits of large-scale model development.

Driven by this forward-looking industry vision, SEER Robotics has transformed its long-established industry advantages into a critical data foundation for leading the era of embodied intelligence.

By leveraging real-world scenarios and massive volumes of robot operation data, SEER Robotics is building the foundational resources required for the development of embodied intelligence.

Over the years, more than 2,100 customers served by SEER Robotics have become a vital foundation for building its real-world data ecosystem. Tens of thousands of robots powered by SEER Robotics’ robotic brains—including humanoid robots, quadruped robots, embodied intelligent forklifts, and composite robots—have been widely deployed across more than 1,000 factories in over 20 industries, including 3C electronics, automotive, and semiconductors, with cumulative stable operation exceeding 60 million hours.

These cross-embodiment, cross-scenario, and cross-industry datasets generated from real industrial environments provide valuable resources for continuously enhancing robot capabilities. They also represent a key industrial advantage that differentiates SEER Robotics from other embodied intelligence companies and traditional robotics enterprises.

By leveraging data-driven model evolution, SEER Robotics enables continuous improvement of robot capabilities.

Centered around the accumulation of real-world scenario data, SEER Robotics continues to build a data flywheel consisting of “deployment → data feedback → closed-loop training → model iteration → expanded deployment.” By deeply integrating edge-side end-to-end models (E2E) and vision-language-action models (VLA) with massive robot operation data, SEER Robotics is enabling robots to move beyond the limitations of traditional rule-based control and further enhance their ability to execute complex tasks.

From breakthroughs in core robotic brain technologies to the accumulation of high-quality real-world data, Zhao Yue and SEER Robotics are building essential capabilities for the era of embodied intelligence.

Driving Continuous Industrial Value Through Technological Innovation

For Zhao Yue and SEER Robotics, this recognition represents not only an honor, but also a responsibility for the future.

Technological innovation has no finish line, and the advancement of the robotics industry requires long-term commitment and continuous effort. From breakthroughs in robotic brain technologies, to the ongoing accumulation of real-world data, and the development of embodied intelligence infrastructure, Zhao Yue represents not only the innovation journey of a young scientist, but also a long-term commitment to:

Driving industrial innovation through core technological breakthroughs, advancing intelligent evolution through real-world data, and accelerating industry development through open ecosystems.

Looking ahead, SEER Robotics will continue to uphold long-term commitment, technological innovation, and open collaboration, contributing to the high-quality development of the robotics industry and enabling technological innovation to continuously create irreplaceable industrial value.
