The Sole Embodied Intelligence Product Honored: SEER Robotics Embodied Intelligence Open Platform Wins Goldreed Industrial Design Award
On September 21, the Goldreed Industrial Design Award ceremony was held, where the SEER Robotics Embodied Intelligence Open Platform received the Goldreed Industrial Design Award – Excellent Product Design Award.
The Goldreed Industrial Design Award is an international and professional industrial design competition open to participants worldwide. To date, it has attracted more than 35,000 entries from 87 countries and regions.
The SEER Robotics Embodied Intelligence Open Platform is the world's first end-to-end open ecosystem platform integrating robot development, access, and application. It enables modular, building-block-style robot development, provides intuitive configuration for more than 2,000 robot models, and supports no-code 3D interaction for operations and maintenance. Powered by AGI capabilities and extensive real-world robot data, the platform connects key parts of the robotics value chain to create a continuous feedback loop.
More importantly, the platform connects not only robot development with real-world deployment, but also AI capabilities with physical robot embodiments, enabling intelligence to move beyond digital models and translate into real-world action.
Why can an open platform designed for embodied intelligence receive an award for product design?
Because what it redesigns is not simply a product interface or individual software function. It rethinks the entire way robots are developed, accessed, deployed, and continuously improved—making complex robotics technologies easier to work with and helping robots move more efficiently into real-world applications.
As robots move rapidly from laboratories into factories, commercial environments, and other real-world settings, the challenge is no longer limited to determining what robots can do. Equally important is addressing how they are developed, deployed, and operated.
For developers, robot development often involves different robot platforms, components, and software systems, requiring repeated integration, configuration, testing, and validation. The SEER Robotics Embodied Intelligence Open Platform is designed to reduce this complexity.
Through a unified platform, modular capabilities, and more intuitive interaction, the system encapsulates much of the underlying development and integration complexity. Robot development can therefore become more modular and configurable—closer to assembling standardized building blocks than repeatedly constructing systems from the ground up.
Capabilities such as rapid interaction and reusable task templates also allow engineers to focus more of their attention on real-world applications and higher-value tasks.
The principle of keeping complexity in the system and simplicity with the user goes beyond improving the experience of an individual product. It changes how robot development and deployment are approached as a whole.
In this sense, the role of industrial design extends beyond product form and user experience. It reaches into industrial workflows and the way people interact and collaborate with increasingly sophisticated technologies.
2. Robot Brain: Building the Core Intelligence Layer
For robots to operate effectively in the physical world, reducing development and deployment barriers is only part of the challenge. Robots must also be able to understand their environment, interpret tasks, make decisions, and execute complex actions reliably.
SEER Robotics defines its Robot Brain through a three-layer architecture comprising Model, Cerebellum, and Nerve.
It is not simply a large model running on a robot, nor is it merely a domain controller or computing board. Instead, the architecture creates an integrated intelligence system that connects perception and understanding with decision-making and physical execution.
The Model is responsible for understanding the environment and tasks and making decisions.
The Cerebellum translates those decisions into stable, coordinated robot motion and execution.
The Nerve connects the Robot Brain with the physical robot, transmitting commands to the hardware while continuously feeding real-world operating states back into the system.
The open platform makes robots easier to develop, configure, and deploy. The Robot Brain provides the underlying capabilities required for robots to understand, decide, and act.
Together, they form part of the foundational infrastructure required to bring increasingly capable intelligent robots into real-world applications.
For SEER Robotics, the Goldreed Industrial Design Award represents more than recognition of the platform's product design and user experience.
Bringing robots into industries at scale requires more than increasingly intelligent robot hardware. It also requires foundational infrastructure that supports robot development, deployment, operation, and continuous evolution.
As Physical AI increasingly moves into the real world, AI capabilities must ultimately connect with physical robot embodiments and translate intelligence into action within specific tasks and environments.
The SEER Robotics Embodied Intelligence Open Platform is designed to make this connection—and the development process behind it—simpler and more efficient.
At the same time, the platform serves as an important entry point into the robot data closed loop.
As robots continuously operate in real-world environments, operational data can be accumulated through the platform and used to support model iteration. Updated capabilities can then be deployed back to robots through remote upgrades, allowing real-world applications to continuously contribute to system improvement.
This creates a cycle from the physical world to models and back to the physical world, enabling deployed robots and AI capabilities to evolve together.
From designing software, to redesigning the way robots are developed and deployed, and ultimately to building infrastructure for embodied intelligence, the boundaries of industrial design are continuing to expand.
All Robots. One Platform. Fully in Your Control.
For SEER Robotics, this is also the direction behind its continued work on foundational robotics capabilities and infrastructure for embodied intelligence.
