SEER Robotics, the Sole Invited Enterprise, Shines at Global Youth Talent Pudong Tour – Oxford & Cambridge Session
On July 17, the 2025 Global Youth Talent Pudong Tour (Oxford–Cambridge Special Session) was successfully held at the Pudong International Talent Hub.
The event gathered 41 doctoral students from the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and other world-renowned institutions. These scholars specialize in frontier fields including computer science, robotics, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and clinical medicine. Many have already distinguished themselves in their respective domains, bringing both deep academic expertise and forward-thinking perspectives on the future of technology.
As the only invited tech enterprise representative in this session, SEER Robotics was represented by Vice President Ding Xia, who engaged in a vibrant dialogue with the young talents from Oxford and Cambridge around the future of robotics.
During the exchange, SEER Robotics showcased its vision as a global leader in general-purpose intelligent robot platforms, along with its innovative practices in embodied intelligence. Ding Xia extended a sincere invitation for high-potential, high-growth international talent to join Pudong—and to join SEER Robotics.
From Fixed Automation to General-Purpose Intelligence: SEER Robotics Leads the Way
The global robotics industry has evolved from fixed-function automation to intelligence-augmented robotics, and now to the era of high-level intelligent robots, moving toward general-purpose intelligent robots.
At the high-level intelligence stage, the industry exhibits a clear trend: software generalization and hardware specialization. The rise of a platform-based ecosystem—centered on the “robot brain”—has become the key mode of advancement.
Ding Xia’s insight, “No single company can build all the robots; no single factory will use just one type of robot,” sparked strong resonance among the audience. SEER Robotics’ strategy is to continuously enhance its AGI-driven robot brain and has successfully established the world’s first large-scale open platform for intelligent robots—enabling a future where anyone can build their own robot fleet within days.
This open platform strategy led to enthusiastic discussion among the audience, focusing on SEER Robotics’ core competitiveness.
What Makes SEER Robotics Different?
One Oxford PhD student posed a sharp question: In a competitive landscape with both specialized startups and tech giants boasting powerful hardware ecosystems, what truly sets SEER Robotics apart?
Ding Xia responded:
“Our most essential and hardest-to-replicate advantage lies in the deep expertise and vast real-world data we’ve accumulated over years of serving industrial logistics and manufacturing scenarios.
These environments are highly customized, non-standardized, and incredibly diverse—unlike other domains where rules are more predictable. SEER Robotics has worked directly with over 2,500 end customers and integrators, deeply understanding their complex needs.
This has given us unparalleled technical depth and scenario insight, forming high entry barriers and establishing the foundation for our open platform.”
From RoboCup Champions to Global Robotics Leaders
SEER Robotics was founded by a team that won three RoboCup world championships, embedding a strong culture of student-led innovation, boundary-pushing creativity, and an unwavering focus on practical deployment.
The company has built a young, energetic, and global team with an average age of just 28 years old, and rapidly grown into the world’s largest intelligent robotics company centered on control systems. Today, SEER Robotics provides products and services in over 65 countries and regions, supporting 1,500+ world-leading customers.
An Open Invitation to the World’s Brightest Young Talents
In her closing remarks, Ding Xia extended a heartfelt invitation to the Oxford and Cambridge scholars:
“Pudong offers the most cutting-edge industries, the strongest innovation momentum, and the most competitive talent policies. As one of Pudong’s flagship deep-tech enterprises, SEER Robotics has achieved exceptional milestones in the field of intelligent mobile robots.
We welcome all global young talents with dreams in AI and robotics to join SEER Robotics. Here, you’ll help define the future of high-level intelligent robots—and even general-purpose robotics.
Come to Pudong—show the world what you can do!”
Following the event, many attendees expressed strong interest in SEER Robotics’ platform strategy and vibrant culture. Several PhD researchers specializing in AI and robotics have already scheduled visits to SEER Robotics’ headquarters for deeper engagement.
SEER Robotics remains fully open to all talented young minds who are passionate about robotics. Join us and co-create the next chapter in intelligent robotics!
